So what is Sentuny? Just a set of syllables that a family accountant threw together as a shelf company name โ which was then assigned for use by one of the founders. That was fifty years ago, and the original company is long defunct.
The domain name hung on as a holdover from those days โ kept alive but unused, except to preserve a handful of historical email addresses. It sat dormant for decades.
During the startup phase of this project, that dormant domain was repurposed to support the Workbench's Open Source needs: domain hosting, email, and the website you are reading now.
The costs associated with maintaining this public presence โ servers, domains, certificates โ are being donated by the founders as their contribution to the project's infrastructure.
In time, we expect this hosting to be relocated โ either to a true Open Source foundation that can steward the project's public assets, or perhaps to the commercial track of the project as it matures.
For now, Sentuny is simply the name on the door โ a repurposed piece of family history, quietly supporting an open-source future.
